How To Use the PaloVia Laser

A quick little “How-To” video about the PaloVia Laser. I am in week three of using the laser and wanted to share how easy it is to use at home. The PaloVia Laser is the first FDA approved at-home laser clinically proven to reduce fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes. This laser also received Allure’s 2011 Breakthrough Award. Stay tuned for more on my adventures to crow free eyes!

*PaloVia supplied me with a laser to use and review.*

The path through the forest was narrow and overgrown. Vines of ivy trickled through any available opening, desperately searching for a glimpse of sunlight. Most of the villagers avoided this path, preferring to take the long and easy way into town. There were numerous stories and tales of the woods being haunted, surely fabricated to keep the villagers out of woodland. But Armus, on the other hand, loved everything about the forest and tried to travel this way way as often as possible.

He had been playing in these woods since he was a small boy. It was in these woods that he defeated armies of knights, slayed dragons and even discovered and conquered new lands. These woods were home to him and he often sought solace amongst the silence of the trees.

His favorite place was a small opening towards the center of the forest. The clearing was carpeted in soft grass and decorated with patches of bluebells and snowdrops. Here he would contemplate life and retreat from the ever increasing demands of his father. His father’s latest obsession was marrying him off to a local maiden that Armus had no desire for.

Armus began to take off his shirt so he could stretch out in the tall grass when something flickered in the sunlight and caught his eye. But before he could focus – it was gone. Strange he thought, and plucked a long blade of grass to soulfully gnaw. But there, closer than he realized, was Nissa. She had been impatiently waiting for his return.

Nissa made herself comfortable atop a white snowdrop, swoonfully resting her head in her hands. She watched as the sun glistened off the smooth, chiseled muscles of his chest. She leaned forward, longing to reach out and just touch him and have him touch her. She was so instantly caught up in the moment that she lost her balance and went tumbling to the ground.  She landed in a heap, flustered and mortified. Well, that was quite unfairy like she sighed. Thankfully, Armus did not notice. What would it take to get him to finally notice her? It was the question she pondered since the day she set eyes on him, many moons ago.

For the IndieInk Writing Challenge this week, lisa challenged me with “Write a story about the two mostly unlikely people you can think of falling in love” and I challenged Heather with “Write about the fickle finger of fate“.

Photo A Day – Part Duex

I have survived another nine days in the Photo A Day April challenge. Quite happy with myself except for one day that required a sunset and Mother Nature was in a foul mood. Almost two-thirds of the way done with this month. Maybe I just may complete a photo 365. Ahhh, who am I kidding. I am only in week three!

Entrapment of the Soul

As the wind rushed through the trees with high pitched cries, she swore she heard it crying her name. Molly paused briefly as a gust began to entwine itself in her hair. Long red ringlets whirled and danced through the air, creating an auburn aura around her.

She could feel him there with her. She felt his warm breath brush the nape of her neck. Her emotions began to swell, leaving her breathless and lightheaded. Her eyes fluttered as she spun towards the ground and caught a glimpse of all that was really left of him – an inscribed marble slab.

100 Word Song is a writing challenge from Lance based on a weekly music prompt. This week’s challenge was inspired by ’Of Lillies And Remains‘ by Bauhaus.

Laughing Away Laugh Lines

Well, it has been just over a week and I have to honestly say that I am noticing a difference. Are the lines around my eyes completely gone? No. (bummer) Can you still see them when I smile? Yes. (sigh)

BUT, they are not as deep as they used to be. AND, it has only been one week. The impatient side of me wanted my wrinkles fixed last year. The Irish impatient side of me wanted the PaloVia laser to zap those nasty eye wrinkles away permanently after the first try.  Are these reasonable demands? Well, no. But as I stated previously, I am noticing a difference. Even if it doesn’t keep up with my non-realistic demands.

Curious how it works? I will be posting a “How To” video this weekend. The whole treatment every night only takes three to four minutes, which is a huge reason why it is an easy addition to your night time regime. Even better than the fact that it is not overly time consuming – it is super easy to do! The added bonus is that it is only every night for the first month, then you just have to do maintanence once or twice a week. Super easy!

I also realized that I forgot to mention that the amazing peeps at PaloVia were kind enough to send me a laser to try and will be flying me, and my fellow laser-ettes, to New York for a fabulous photo shoot of our progress. Here’s to no wrinkles by New York!

Six Word Memoir – The Possibilities Are Endless

Loves the scent of fresh paper.

Seriously, is there anything better than the crisp new smell of a new journal? This lassie thinks not. A book full of clean pages and fresh starts. The possibilities are truly endless.

What did you do this week in six words?

Friday Haiku – I Must Believe

The unexpected

Always catches you off guard

Leaving you breathless.

But one must have faith

To get through difficult times

And trust in His plan.

Be sure to head over to Lou’s to read what everyone else is haikuing about this week.

Trust

Molly heard hesitation in his voice when she answered the phone. He said he was on the way – that his meeting ran late. She wanted to believe him. Jack had never given her a reason not to trust him. But lately, something didn’t seem right.

Jack finally arrived at 8:00, two hours past their reservation. So much for dinner she fumed and turned her back to him.

“Don’t be mad baby.”

Baby?!”

As she whipped around to give him a piece of her mind she lost her balance, tumbling into him and sending a little blue box tumbling across the floor.

The challenge of 100 words is to write a post, only using 100 words. Velvet Verbosity has been on hiatus but my desire to be challenged lives on. My challenge word for myself this week was ‘Trust‘.

Photo A Day

I have tried to do a 365 photo challenge for years. Yes, you read that right… years. I, like many others I assume, start off really well and the BAM! Life takes over and I forget for a few days (or weeks) or don’t know what to take a picture of and then next thing you the whole process is down the drain. Well, I decided to take a different approach and do a photo a day challenge. With the Photo A Day you are given a prompt as to WHAT to take a picture of. Takes all the guess work out of it and makes you think creatively out of the box for that day.

Curious what I have been doing the first nine days pf the challenge?  Feast your eyes on these.
