100 Word Song is a writing challenge from Lance based on a weekly music prompt. 100 words – no more, no less. This week’s challenge was inspired by David Bowie’s ,”Soul Love.”. And I made it a two-fer by incorporating Velvet Verbosity ‘s 100 word challenge. This week she challenged us with ‘Soundless’.

  1. oh wow. This made me teary eyed!

  2. Bittersweet and beautifully written. So sad and the love is heartbreaking. Great job.

  3. Ugh, sad!

I love the idea of “counting sleeps”. I was not introduced to it as a child like so many, but there’s something very reassuring about that ritual.

  4. The longing to reconnect with his son was palpable. Nicely done.
