Last week I had the amazing opportunity to go and visit eBay. Oh yes, you read that right. I said ebay. (insert ‘squee’ here) Their campus was so colorful and bright and everyone was very welcoming. Why did they have me? Well, I am so glad you asked!
Ebay recently launched their Love To Give campaign with uber hilarious Samantha Bee. With their Love To Give campaign, eBay hopes to entice buyers with their huge shopping selection so that we as shoppers, can provide our gift receivers with the all glorious “Unwrap Attack”. What??! You have never heard of an unwrap attack? The feast your eyes on these unsuspecting babes:
The fact that the first boy really tried to love and embrace his toilet wand broke my heart. His expression when he got the Lego Death Star brought instant tears to my eyes because that is exactly how my son would have reacted. What parents/ grandparent/ aunt/ uncle/friend does not want to see THAT expression when their special someone opens their gift.
Even better than the almighty unwrap attack is the great recycled packaging they are using to send their elfin made goodies. In Septmeber eBay announced it’s new pilot program, the eBay Box. This month 100,000 durable, recyclable, jet-setting, reusable boxes were shipped to buyers and sellers across the country. There is even room to write a little ‘Hello’ to the next recipient and let them know exactly where their box has been.:

The Green team also came up with another fabulous idea: create a selling community where tech savvy connoisseurs, can resell and recycle their old and out dated electronics. may I introduce you to eBay’s Instant Sale!! Have old iPods or phones laying around? Ebay’s instant sale will give YOU money for your old electronics and pay for you to ship them. Now that’s a win-win for everyone!
