Another One Bites the Dust

Sometimes it’s funny how fate throws a curve ball every once in a while. Just when you least expect it – WHAM! You get pegged in the side of the head with a big ole ball. So when Mother Nature flooded my car I admit, I looked at the negative instead of the possibilities. As you know, the insurance company decided my car was damaged beyond repair and junked it. After days and countless hours of scouring websites and carfax, Hubby found me a new car.

When he showed me a picture I couldn’t believe it. We had talked about owning one from time to time. There was always a catch; the kids are too small, we can’t put a car seat back there, it just isn’t a reasonable choice. It was even #28 on my Bucket List. But all I ever really wanted to do was drive one. I never fathomed I would own one. Until now.

Meet Eleanor. She is gorgeous and I. Love. Her. Yes, I love her more then I ever thought a person could (or should) love their car. Did I mention she rumbles when I start her up? Yeah, she does, and it makes me smile every time. From now on it is nothing but blue skies for this lassie!

Bonus points if you know why she is named Eleanor

You are correct!! It is one of our all time favorite movies. Though I am sure Hubby would like a REAL Eleanor instead of my car!
